this was last weekend. we made a trip to pakiri beach to catch some crabbies. it's a 2 hour drive from auckland. met up with jim, steven and people on the way. and off we were.

walking the fishing site. we walked above the sand crates. it was a long long long walk so we figured walking on grass would conserve some energy.

the end of the beach, jesus, it was like a 7km walk. apparently there were more crabs at the end of the beach because of the rocky area.

we were isolated i tell you, there wasnt a single soul on our side of the beach. we were 7km away from civilisation and life.

almost died on the way to the car. we had to walk another 7km back. this time with exhaustion, extra sunshine, crabs & mussels. plus, we walked on dry sand the whole stretch. we got around 20+ crabs altogether.

end of the day, i was fried and freckled. sunburnt! my face is shedding skin!!!!!! omfg. i want to hibernate!
