so, i watched bolt in 3D with my brother yesterday. none of the movies that are currently screening appealed to me but i just had to satisfy my movie craving, heheh, what mel wants, mel gets :) so, off we were. there was 'yesman', 'australia', 'james bond: quantum of solace', 'bolt 3D', 'the spirit'.... all equally boring to me. 'yesman' received lots of great reviews but i dont trust jim carrey, never was a fan of him; i wouldnt want to risk my movie bliss in the cinema :) moreover, the thought of me wasting $10 on being utterly annoyed at myself for making the wrong decision would totally ruin my mood for the week day.
finally decided on bolt, stupidly thought that the 3D effect would make the movie all the more interesting than the rest. i was delighted at the fact that they actually hand out black plastic? (i think) glasses! so awesome, it is actually possible to look hot in, okay, that was totally bimbo, dont mind me. the glasses werent ours to keep though. i remember my first and only other 3D movie experience; it was on the spy kids flick and yes, it was in kuching. anyway, the point i want to emphasize is that we didnt have plastic glasses, we had paper glasses instead. see what an upgrade it is?
that said, i still dont like the idea of having to wear glasses to get that 3D effect. people are so smart these days, why not invent some sort of gadget that provides 3D effects without the use of glasses? paper glasses are to flimsy. plastic glasses are too heavy it kind of numbs your nose bridge, and it makes you go dizzy whizzy.
so, back to the point, the movie was just alright. my favourite character would be 'mittens' the black cat. the hamster 'rhino', he was the first hamster i ever thought of strangling. omgosh, he's so thick and ignorant! hahah, but i begun to like him towards the end of the movie.
