i know my photos are all over. heh, my bad, i was experimenting :) i baked. yes, i bloody BAKED. baking just seemed far more captivating than studying. baking - my idea of running away :) okay, the day was monday 15.09.08. after the library, reached home, i didnt do anything; studying was so not an option. TING! *light-bulb pops up* baking seems rather productive. so, off i was rummaging through the pantry for ingredients. initially wanted to bake the cliche oreo cheesecake but couldnt find any oreo. i found pieces of white chocolate and thought it was cheesecake material so i went to browse the web for recipes. i crushed random biscuits i found from the pantry to act as the base of the cheesecake. my lack of ingredients explains the size of the cheesecakes; there was only 150g of cream cheese. i mixed everything up. filled the ramekins. time to decorate. it was either 100s
and 1000s, chocolate hail, colourful hail, chocolate chips or those
silver bit bobs. to credit my work, i put my initial on one of them, HEHEH. my family HAS to know i made them. i gave up chocolate chipping the other one. refrigerate. just so you know, both cheesecakes were a disaster. it tasted like cream cheese with biscuit. hmm, we wonder why.. anyhow, despite its awful taste, brothers still ate them both. thank god, there was no way i was gonna eat it. they just saved waste :) rushed of to work not long after. okay, that was baking
attempt #1. after work, dropped in the supermarket to buy oreos,
cream and cream cheese. i am going
to get this baking thing done right. If brandon can bake, i can too. baking attempt #2 begins. according tho the recipe, i have to cube the cream cheese and had bit by bit when mixing =.=?? i just cut it in 4 pieces; should have the same outcome. it got stuck not long after. that's where brandon came in. p/s he only helped A BIT, really. after the cream cheese, the sugar went in then the
eggs then the crushed oreos. time to fill the tin up.! heh, so exiting.! somebody WOULDNT help me pour it in until i lined the cake tin properly. wtf. it was just TWO

small areas, the CAKE WILL NOT STICK. i went to fix it up and the
cake went it. the recipe said to leave the cake in the oven for 2 hours and 35 minutes. i was gonna follow the recipe until i saw a burnt spot on the surface of the cake an hour and a half in. i took the cake
out. it looked cooked. i THOUGHT I SAVED IT. i was wrong. i did the opposite actually. i took it out of the cake tin AND it cracked like crazy and it lost it's shape. i then realized it was still wet on the inside. shoved it

back into the cake tin and back into the oven. after a while, i guessed that the cake was cooked so i took it out. I WAS RIGHT :) but after everything my cake went through, i thought it didnt look THAT bad. brandon said it looked like mould from the forest. blah. cooled off for about an hour. supposed to use garnish it with whipped cream
but brandon suggested mock cream. he said it's sweetened cream. so he
made the cream. it was luscious, i tell you :)
then i crushed oreos hoping to get the cookie in a perfect quarters. the biscuit part kept cracking into bits. i went through a whole bag only to get 10 perfect ones. i stuck them to the edge of the cake. i didnt know what to do with the centre. i thought stenciling it with cocoa
power would be a good idea. *look at the photo* it obviously didnt turn out well. so, i had to cover it all up . sprinkled crushed oreos all over it. put bits of silver bob bobs on it so it wont be so
gloomy. yah. YAY! i made a cheesecake. a PRETTY one :D so freakin HAPPY.! i didnt want to cut it but someone said the real test is how the cake tastes like not how it looks like :( i couldnt find a cake knife, someone broke it apparently. so, i took the chef's knife instead. i stared at it for ages not knowing which way i should cut it. eventually went with the triangle cutting style. it tasted like what it should taste like. well, to me it does :) it was past 12 when i ended my baking craze. brandon was dead on the couch by then. next morning, DADDY, MUMMY, JASON and BRANDON tried MY CHEESECAKE. and they said it was good :))) that's 4 people's opinion. it's not just me then, mah! S-U-C-E-S-S.! :D
